  • Live at UMIST/Graveyard Demos 1981
    Cassette + Digital Album

Cassette tape, signed and numbered, limited to 40 copies
The cassette is a signed, hand-numbered edition of 40 in a neon green shell with pics from the show and recording session included.

A desk recording of Sacred Alien's set at the legendary UMIST Heavy Metal Festival on 9th May 1981. We were the opening band for a line-up that included Diamond Head, Silverwing, Tora Tora and Venom (no, not that one). The cassette also includes the original version of the Graveyard demo. These 4 tracks were recorded on March 22nd and include: Portatrait of a Saddened Mind, Eternal Flame of the Heart, Energy and Both Sides of the Globe.

Please NOTE: These recordings are 40 years old, and were retrieved from cassettes that are also 40 years old. The sound quality of this release reflects that. This is the authentic sound of DIY heavy metal of the NWOBHM era so suck it up Hi-Fi fans.

Includes digital pre-order of Eternal Flame of the Heart - 1981 Graveyard Demo - SINGLE DIGITAL TRACK ONLY - Full demo only available on physical cassette. You get 1 track now (streaming via the free Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment it’s released.

about

This is the first recorded version of Eternal Flame...then called 'Eternal Flame (of the Heart)'. Recorded at Graveyard studios on March 22nd 1981 as part of our first 4 track demo. The other 3 tracks were released as part of the 'Legends' album, but we left this version off as we thought the later, Pennine Studios version was better quality.
